Freedom from Hunger and Thirst
Freedom from Discomfort

Freedom from Pain, Injury, or Disease

Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour

Freedom from Fear and Distress

We're not from New Zealand, but we agree with each of these Freedoms, and have added a sixth below:

Disclaimer

All statements and opinions expressed on this site, unless otherwise attributed, are mine. We also host a few cattery pages under mainecoons.org; these have their own home pages and are maintained as separate sites. Occasionally, some of thoe sites may be linked in, e.g. to our breeder list pages (if they are actively breeding Maine Coons). The statements and opinions expressed on those pages (as well as on attributed pages within this site) are those of their respective authors, but I tend to concur with them; that's why I link to them. - Vicki
